Transmission Room (along with Sonido Ltd) was started by dubbing mixer from film and TV Diane Jardine and guitar guru Greig McMillan. They decied they were fed up rehearsing in rundown, pretty depressing studios and when Diane discovered Shadow Sound was about to shut down, they took it over and instantly started making improvements.

The aim was always to provide a clean, friendly, professional and welcoming space for all bands to come to and over 11 years, improvements have been on-going to ensure those standards and ideals never drop.

Whilst Transmission Room provides all things music, Diane also brought her vast television experience and created the over-arching company Sonido Ltd which deals with TV dubbing, voice-over recording and all things broadcast. Many familiar shows and films have had some of their sound created within the Transmission Room walls.

Now we welcome bands, production companies, radio casts, podcasts, voice over artists and students from both Glasgow Clyde College and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to use our top facilities.

In a business climate where studios can suffer Sonido and Transmission Room continue to grow and welcome its customers and friends after 11 years of business.
